What is the difference between glass thickness (2mm from 1.5mm)
We have three thicknesses - 0.7, 1 or 2 mm. What is better?
The final choice of thickness depends on the specific application and expectations regarding the strength and weight of the glass.
If both thicknesses meet your needs and the cost difference is not critical, you can
choose the one that best suits your application. For kitchens where heavier loads may occur, 2mm may be more appropriate.
For a desk where loads are lighter, 1 mm may be sufficient. 😉
What tables is it suitable for?

How to care for soft glass
Soft glass does not require intensive cleaning,
just wipe it with a soft cloth. If you have heavy dirt, use dishwashing liquid.
What are transparent tablecloths made of?
Silicone foil:
Withstands high and low temperatures (-60 to +250 ° C) without loss of quality;
Silicone allows very hot objects to be placed on it;
It turns yellow over time;
Absorbs odors and dyes;
2 times more expensive than PVC foil.
PVC tablecloth (soft glass):
PVC is a cheaper material than silicone;
Designed for long-term temperature interaction with objects up to 80 ° C;
He is not afraid of spilled boiling water. You can place a hot mug, but not a hot pan;
Long service life (does not turn yellow, does not become cloudy);
Does not leave greasy stains;
Dense surface, cut resistant.
How to spread flexible glass foil on a glass, shiny, lacquered table?
Place the transparent protective foil on the table with the folded edges down so that it straightens and takes the shape of the surface;
After straightening the flexible foil, pour water into any sprayer and add 1-2 drops of detergent (e.g. Ferry);
Wet the canvas and surface generously with the spray solution;
Then apply to the surface and smooth the edges;
Then smooth with a plastic spatula or cloth from the center to the edges to remove water from under the transparent film;
After a few days (watch it dry), cut the edges of the tablecloth into the shape of a table with a margin of 1-2 cm.
If you follow the instructions, the soft glass will stick well and there will be no air bubbles under it.
The foil will be well stretched and will be almost invisible.
In the case of varnished or glossy surfaces, you also need to either squeeze out the air from under the silicone tablecloth or place napkins, fabrics, tablecloths.
Soft PVC glass on an oval table
For oval surfaces, cut out a tablecloth from soft glass in the form of a rectangle.
Within a month, the soft glass will shrink by several centimeters depending on the length, width of the surface and if you cut an oval beforehand, you will not get the expected size.
After the clear soft glass reaches its size (14-30 days), you can cut it along the outline of the table, according to the instructions included with the product.
Color and scent
Soft glass is a plastic, like any artificial material, it has a slight smell at the beginning, which disappears completely after 2-3 days.
The glass has a pigment - a blue shade, which is added so that your glass does not turn yellow over time and does not lose its appearance, this shade is visible only after twisting, after spreading the glass on the surface - the shade will not be visible.

How does glass shrink and why?
An element such as glass shrinkage is very important when receiving an order. Soft glass is stretched in rolls.
We get it and cut it, unrolling the roll to fit the size of your table.
Immediately after receiving the goods, the glass should be placed on a table or other surface, as it may become deformed if twisted for a long time. Within 2-3 weeks, the glass will regain its normal size (i.e. shrink).
Shrinkage also depends on temperature (if the room is very hot or dry - shrinkage may occur, and if the room has normal humidity and temperature, shrinkage will be smaller).
What temperature can it withstand?
The material can withstand temperatures up to 80 degrees because it is a PVC film, not silicone. Items with a temperature of no more than 80 degrees
can be placed on it. If it is a cup of hot tea, the temperature of the boiled water is 100 degrees Celsius. If you place the hot mug directly on the
material, there will be a direct heat transfer of 100 degrees. THEREFORE, WE DO NOT RECOMMEND PLACING CUPS WITH HOT DRINKS ON MATERIALS WITHOUT STANDS
(this applies to vessels above 80 degrees, we recommend placing stands under such vessels).
